Apple App Store
How many apps the US App Store lists by the month they came out, and how many of those name AI. Apple publishes no counts. These figures come from a 1-in-20 sample of the app ids in Apple's own sitemaps. The iTunes Lookup API supplies each app's release date.
Every figure covers apps still on sale today. Apple removes apps constantly, and a month needs time to lose its share of them. So recent months look full and old ones look thin: about 70,000 apps survive from August 2026 against 27,000 from January 2026. Read the share, not the count.
Releases
Apps from that month that are still on sale in the US store. It is not a count of what Apple published. Every month loses apps as it ages, so the line climbs towards the present partly for that reason.

AI share of releases
A ratio inside one month, so removals hurt it far less than they hurt the counts. Developers rename apps far less often than they rewrite descriptions, so the name line is the one to trust.
